Today, the cruise passenger Steve Eaton completed the worlds first marathon at sea the ship Princess Cruises’ Grand Princess to 5 hours, 16 minutes and 45 seconds.
Eaton, 57, who is from Tamworth, Great Britain has run 33 marathons in the past, but it was a new experience, which arose from his wish to raise money for Help the heroes charity that provides support for the wounded, sick or injured while in office since 9 / 11.

Eaton started the marathon at 09:00 from slightly more than 600 meters (0.37 miles) around the upper deck Grand Princess, of course, when the ship was sailing near the coast of Portugal. He had to drive 70 laps to cover the total distance of 26.2 km.
Eaton said: “It was probably my hardest marathon before, but it was a very special reason and they are grateful for all the passengers and crew on board to keep me going support. Tonight I’ll be a big steak for protein to help my body recover, and a glass of wine to celebrate with his wife, Margaret.
